1. Who we are
"YourGarage" is a trading style of Digiconomy Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11129824, VAT number 498762126), with its registered office at Digiconomy Limited, Howbery Business Park, Benson Lane, Wallingford, England, OX10 8BA. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Digiconomy Limited trading as YourGarage.
2. What YourGarage is
YourGarage is an online price comparison platform for UK car servicing, MOTs and repairs. We do not own, operate or control any garage and we do not carry out any work on vehicles ourselves.
Garage listings, real-time prices and booking availability shown on this website are provided through our integration with BookMyGarage, a leading UK garage comparison network operated by The Motorists Organisation Ltd (company number 08339147, registered office 1000 Lakeside, North Harbour, Portsmouth PO6 3EN). When you submit your vehicle registration, postcode and chosen services, your query is matched against BookMyGarage's network of vetted independent partner garages.
3. How bookings work
- YourGarage is free for drivers. We do not charge a booking fee, subscription or commission to consumers.
- You do not pay YourGarage for the work. You pay the garage directly on the day the work is completed.
- When you confirm a booking, your contract for the work is with the partner garage that performs it, not with YourGarage or Digiconomy Limited.
- Prices shown are quotes generated from the make, model and service schedule you provide. The final invoice may differ if additional faults are identified during the work, and should only be done after the garage has obtained your authorisation.
4. How we make money: affiliate disclosure
YourGarage operates as an affiliate of BookMyGarage. When you make a booking through our site, BookMyGarage pays us a commission for the introduction. This commission is paid by BookMyGarage from its own revenue and is not added to the price you see or pay. It does not influence the order in which garages or quotes appear in the results. YourGarage is paid only on completed bookings and has no financial relationship with the garages themselves.
5. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to use YourGarage. By using the site you confirm that the vehicle details and contact information you supply are accurate and that you are authorised to book work on the vehicle in question. Your use of YourGarage is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these terms.
6. Cancelling a booking
You can cancel or amend a booking through BookMyGarage's booking management system, free of charge, up to the day of your appointment. Mobile mechanic bookings may have different cancellation terms; check the garage's listing before booking. Your statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 are unaffected.
7. Our role and limits of liability
We take reasonable care to ensure information shown on YourGarage is accurate, but because prices and availability come from third parties in real time we cannot guarantee that every listing is error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for:
- the quality, timing or outcome of any work performed by a garage;
- disputes between you and a garage about pricing, parts or workmanship;
- indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site.
Work performed by a garage is subject to the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The garage must provide the service with reasonable care and skill, using parts that meet the agreed specification, within a reasonable time. If you believe the work falls short of these standards, raise the issue with the garage directly in the first instance.
If you cannot resolve a complaint with the garage directly, TheMotor Ombudsman operates a free, independent dispute resolution scheme for the automotive sector. Many garages on BookMyGarage are accredited members.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use YourGarage to submit false vehicle data, scrape pricing for resale, attempt to interfere with our systems, or in any way that breaches UK law.
9. Intellectual property
The YourGarage brand, design and content on this site are owned by or licensed to Digiconomy Limited. You may use the site for your own non-commercial use only.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our service or applicable law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
